Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new school year at Wallace Elementary School! My name is Mrs. Kelly McGuire and I am the principal at Wallace Elementary School.   I am committed to providing your child with high quality academic education and a positive learning environment where “character matters.”

As parents, you are the first and most important teacher for your child. It is our intent to work as a team to foster the up-most learning environment. Please, remember that it is extremely critical that students attend school every day so that they have every opportunity to learn. There is a direct link between consistent attendance and high- student achievement.

Parents, if you pick up your children from school, please remember to pull-forward if you are using the parent pick-up area. By not pulling forward we are putting our walking students in harm’s way.   If your child is riding the bus home and/or they will be riding a new bus, please remember to call the front office 669-2131 by 1:00 pm and make arrangements for a bus pass.  There will be no bus passes given on Friday's.

We have an excellent staff at Wallace Elementary School who care about children and are dedicated to working hard so that every child will succeed. Please contact your child’s teacher first if you have any questions and concerns as they are most familiar with your child and the situation. Parent/teacher communication is very important to me and again, your child’s learning success is my top-priority. Should you need to contact me please call 669-2131 X1377 as my door is always open.

I am excited about the coming school year and look forward to all of us working together to make your child’s experience one of the “best years” ever.
